The Irkutsk Region women's football team lost 0 6 to Krasnoyarsk Enisey in the second Russian championship match. Coach Igor Fatin cited inexperience, losses, and a stronger opponent.

On June 14, 2015, the Irkutsk Region team played its second match in the Russian Women’s Football Championship. At the stadium, “Baikal” faced “Yenisey” from Krasnoyarsk. The result of the match was 0:6.
From the start of the match, the contest was evenly balanced. But once they got into their rhythm, the Krasnoyarsk team began to play more actively in attack. Thus, the scoring was opened against the Irkutsk Region team. After just a quarter of an hour, Krasnoyarsk forward Anna Diyun opened the scoring - 0:1. Exactly 2 minutes later, Kristina Khairulina doubled the lead to 0:2. “Yenisey”’s attacks came down the left flank with penetration into the penalty area followed by an accurate low shot past the goalkeeper. In the 26th minute, the Irkutsk Region team was again faced with an attack from Anna Diyun, and the score became 0:3 in favor of “Yenisey”. Before the break, the Irkutsk Region team was also left disappointed. In the 35th and 44th minutes, player Ekaterina Zavadkina stood out, and “Yenisey”’s lead grew to five goals - 0:5.
After the break in the second half, the “Baikal” team began to play more offensively and more aggressively. It worked. A significant contribution to the difficult defensive play belonged precisely to the home side.
Thus, after the break, “Yenisey” managed to score only in the 53rd minute, when Marina Klimchanina found the net with an accurate shot - 0:6.
The Irkutsk Region team was unable to delight its fans with a goal. As time goes on, the Irkutsk Region team will be able to show its fans and itself that the Irkutsk Region team knows how to win.
The final result of the match between the Irkutsk Region team “Baikal” and Krasnoyarsk’s “Yenisey” was 0:6 in favor of the visitors.
As the head coach of the Irkutsk Region team, Igor Fatin, said:
- This season we decided to move to the “Siberia” zone because in the Far East we play against teams from Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, and Chita, but only Chita comes to us, so we have had little match practice. The overall level of the Far Eastern zone is lower than the level of the “Siberia” zone, where we are now playing; in this zone there are two very strong teams - “Yenisey” from Krasnoyarsk and “Kuzbass” from Kemerovo, and teams from Barnaul and Novosibirsk also play there, there are more teams and the distances are shorter.
I will emphasize once again that losing a leading girl-player is very painful for the team; Tanya Turova left us, and defender Ekaterina Kasina was taken by Krasnodar’s “Kubanochka”. Even last season, in away games, we felt the shortage of squad depth, traveling with a squad of 12-14 people, and we had no opportunity to take the 1999-born players. And now a whole group of players from that age has joined the team, but they need time; Krasnoyarsk surpasses us in every component - in movement, in strength, in passing power, in passing accuracy. If there is no strength, there will be no quick thinking either; young girls lack time to make decisions, Krasnoyarsk starts pressing, and then quick decision-making is needed, getting out of defense in one or two touches, and the age factor shows.
Last year, “Yenisey” finished first in the final tournament in the “Siberia” zone. As for our other opponents in the zone, we played the team from Altai Krai about three years ago, drew, and have not met since. We have beaten “Kuzbass”, but we did so with our strongest lineup. Now “Kuzbass” is a team roughly at the same level as “Yenisey”; they have a stable squad, they are replenished by their own youth players, and we have taken one or two steps back.
There are prospects among our 1999-born players; I like Anastasia Burtseva, she stands out. We had Ekaterina Taryshkina, now playing for “Kubanochka”, who moved there two years ago and is a high-level player who showed herself already at a young age. We had Ekaterina Kasina, who moved to “Kubanochka” a year ago. It is very difficult to replace these leaders; they determined the game.
Our next games are in a month - at the beginning of July we play “Kuzbass”, and at the end of June the final of the “Siberia” zone among 1999-born girls will be held in Irkutsk; this break is being filled, and for the older players these are exhausting training sessions. In July, the 1999-born players will have the School Spartakiad, the Russian final in Krymsk. Today, 4 players from the 1999 birth year played in our lineup. A large number of matches should be beneficial; they are young, recover quickly, it is better to play than to train, and to draw the right conclusions from each game. We need to look for the reasons for defeats; we must improve in all components.
