In Irkutsk, an armed man attacked a 76 year old pensioner, threatening him with a knife, forced him out of the car and stole the Mazda. An hour later police found the car with the suspect and the weapon in the cabin. A criminal case has been opened for armed robbery.
An armed man attacked a pensioner. Such a report was received by the police duty unit. The 76-year-old man said that an unknown person, threatening him with a knife, demanded that he get out of the car. He then got behind the wheel of the Mazda and drove off in it in an unknown direction.- The victim turned to the police for help, - the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region reported. – An hour later, criminal investigation officers found the stolen car, with the suspect behind the wheel.
Inside the car, police found the weapon used in the crime.
As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Irkutsk reports, the Mazda was returned to its lawful owner.
A criminal case has been opened against the man on the grounds of an offense under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed with the use of a weapon).
