A sanitation day was held on the former IVVAIU site in Irkutsk. In a week, trash was removed, hazardous trees cut down, stands repaired, and potholes fixed. New trees were planted, and youth groups joined the work. Authorities say more improvement is needed, and a modern educational complex is planned here in the future.
A sanitation day was held on the territory of the former IVVAIU in Irkutsk.Over the course of a week, a huge amount of trash was removed, hazardous trees were burned, the stands were repaired, and potholes were patched. New trees were planted in place of the old ones.
“There are no forgotten corners in the city for me. The IVVAIU territory is one such place; it needs attention. Today we identified pain points that require immediate intervention. These are pothole repairs, landscaping, and playgrounds. In addition, we are already compiling a whole list of issues that can be resolved through our joint efforts. People here are not abandoned or forgotten — they are part of our city,” Dmitry Berdnikov writes.
The mayor also noted that young people can be relied on. The mayor’s environmental teams, the youth mayor’s office, and the youth duma responded at the first call and gathered in order to put the IVVAIU territory in order with their own efforts.
Due to the transfer of the property complex of IVVAIU to the ownership of the Irkutsk Region, it is planned to create a modern educational complex on the territory of the school.
