Residents and guests of Irkutsk are invited to the international street film festival, which will take place today at 20.30 in the square by the monument to Alexander III. Under the open sky, short films by young directors from seven countries will be shown, and viewers will choose the best by voting with phone and flashlight lights. Besides the screening, guests will enjoy a performance by Union Jack, the Acrolife acrobatic show, a fire show and a biker motor ride.
Residents and guests of Irkutsk are invited to the international street cinema festival. It will take place today at 20:30 in the square by the monument to Alexander III.The street cinema festival is a non-commercial initiative; it was held for the first time in the summer of 2014. At that time, 15 cities in Russia took part in it.
The project coordinators travel to different cities, from Vladivostok to Lisbon, showing short films outdoors.
All the films were made by young directors from seven countries (Russia, France, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Spain).
In each city, viewers vote for the films they like by raising phones with their flashlights on or flashlights above their heads.
The winner is determined by the lights. The film that wins in most cities will become the festival laureate.
During the event, the musical group “Union Jack” and the acrobatic team “Acrolife” will perform.
Also, visitors will be shown a fire show, and there will be a motorcycle ride by a column of bikers.
