The fifth car in two days has burned in the city. Today, during the nighttime, a foreign-made car on Botkina Street was damaged by fire.The Honda Accord was parked near building No. 9. The fire broke out at about 03:25 a.m.
The Honda’s engine compartment burned over an area of one square meter, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported in a press service.
Preliminarily, the cause of the fire may have been arson. Experts will determine the cause of the incident after inspections.
In two days, this is the fifth car to burn in Irkutsk. The day before, 4 cars were set on fire, three of them in a paid parking lot in the Leninsky District.
