Irkutsk will become the Road Capital of Russia for two days

For two days Irkutsk will become Russias road capital. On August 12 and 13 the international forum Roads of Russia of the 21st Century will be held. The program includes round tables on modern road construction technologies, new asphalt concrete testing methods and road safety, as well as a plenary session with industry leaders. On August 13 Roman Starovoit and other officials will launch the main events, after which the head of Rosavtodor will brief journalists on the agencys work in the first half of 2015 and the progress of key projects.

The international exhibition-forum “Roads of Russia of the 21st Century” will turn Irkutsk into Russia’s “road capital” for two days. The industry event of Rosavtodor will take place on August 12 and 13.
Representatives of road agencies and contracting organizations from the regions, suppliers of equipment and materials, experts from the scientific community, investment companies, and the legislative branch will come to the industry forum.
Also, as part of the exhibition’s business program, a series of thematic round tables is scheduled for August 12:
- “The use of modern technologies and equipment in road construction work on highways”
- “On the implementation of modern requirements and testing methods for organic binders and road asphalt concrete based on the Superpave methodology”
- “Safety of highway operation”.
On August 13, the head of the Federal Road Agency, Roman Starovoit, Deputy Chairman of the Transport Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Ten, and Acting First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region Nikolai Slobodchikov will give the ceremonial start to the main events of the exhibition and conference.
Following a tour of the participants’ booths, Roman Starovoit will address journalists with a report on Rosavtodor’s activities for the first half of 2015, and will also speak about the progress of the implementation of the agency’s main projects.
After the official opening of the exhibition-forum, the conference’s plenary session will take place.
