In Irkutsk, 60 children born with cleft lip and palate will be operated on at the Ivano Matreninskaya Children's Clinical Hospital. The Operation Smile charity campaign, supported by AbbVie and the regional health ministry, gives young patients a chance for timely, high quality care and a happier future. Operations are performed by certified specialists using certified equipment and medicines.

At the Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Clinical Hospital in Irkutsk, 60 children born with cleft lip and palate will undergo surgery. The organization "Operation Smile" and the global biopharmaceutical company AbbVie, with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region, have launched a charity campaign after which the children will be able to smile in a new way.

According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the region, Elena Golenetskaya, "Operation Smile" is an outstanding example of a socially significant initiative thanks to which children with congenital complications get a chance for health and a happy future.
"This campaign has become one of the key events taking place as part of the anniversary year of the Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Clinical Hospital. Providing highly qualified medical care to children is one of the priority tasks of the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region. We are grateful to the organizers of the "Operation Smile" campaign for their significant contribution to solving this task," said Elena Golenetskaya.
As the chief physician of the Ivano-Matreninskaya Hospital in Irkutsk, Vladimir Novozhilov, said, children with congenital maxillofacial defects face serious developmental problems that require timely surgical intervention.
"Today such medical care is becoming available to young patients in Irkutsk, including thanks to the charity campaign "Operation Smile." We are very glad that so much attention and effort is being devoted to solving this issue today," Vladimir Novozhilov emphasized.
The operations are being performed by medical personnel certified by the organization "Operation Smile," using high-quality specialized and safe equipment, consumables, and medications that have passed international and Russian certification.
