In Irkutsk, the one day sculpture festival Art is being held for the third time, bringing together five creative groups on Gagarin Boulevard. This year the children's design studio Spektr presented a composition of three sculptures Dancer. Singer. Artist, and the organizers stress that any city resident close to creativity can join the festival. The works can be seen on weekends, and the winner will be chosen after voting once photos of all sculptures are posted on the administration website.

The one-day sculpture festival “Art” is being held in Irkutsk for the third time. The organizer of the event is the Department of Architecture and Urban Design of the Committee for Urban Planning Policy of the Irkutsk City Administration.
The goal of this creative event is to attract residents’ attention to participating in the design of the city.
Five creative teams presented their works on Gagarin Boulevard.
The children’s design studio “Spektr” are already no strangers to this endeavor. This year, the contestants presented a work consisting of three sculptures, “Dancer. Singer. Artist.”
As the studio head Anna Pakhotinskaya said, they prepared for the festival in advance. “It took at least 9 hours to make the frame of one sculpture. About 20 hours were spent on decoration,” she said. “The work is labor-intensive, but the kids completed it with pleasure. We have experience. At the previous festival, the design studio ‘Spektr’ took second place.”
Experience is not required at all to become a participant in the art festival. As the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Design, Olga Dyachkina, said, any city resident who is not a stranger to creativity can take part in the festival.
Irkutsk residents can view the works on Saturday and Sunday, as well as bring their own works and become participants in the art festival.
In a week, photos of all the sculptures will be posted on the official website of the Irkutsk City Administration. The winner will be chosen based on the results of voting.
By September, the results of the art festival will be summed up.
