IrGAU rector Gennady Takalandze cannot leave Russia. Bailiffs banned him from traveling because of a 28 million ruble debt. Half his salary will be withheld to repay it, and he must also pay a 40 thousand ruble state fee.

The rector of the Agricultural Academy, Gennady Takalandze, will not be able to leave the Russian Federation in the near future — bailiffs have banned him from traveling abroad. The university rector owes 28 million rubles.
According to the enforcement proceedings, 50% of the rector’s salary will be withheld to repay the debt. This is reported by the Federal Bailiff Service for the Irkutsk Region.
Gennady Takalandze took out a loan agreement for 28 million rubles and miscalculated his capabilities. He did not repay the money on time. The lender filed a lawsuit.
"The Irkutsk District Court issued a ruling to recover the amount of the debt and interest for the use of funds. In response to repeated demands from the bailiff-executor of the Irkutsk District Bailiff Department to comply with the court decision, citizen T. refused and did not appear for appointments," the bailiffs said in a statement.
Enforcement proceedings against the rector of IrGAU were initiated in April 2015, according to information posted in the Database of Enforcement Proceedings.
Also, Gennady Takalandze must pay a state duty of 40 thousand rubles.
