"The heroic feats of the 'blue berets' during the Great Patriotic War are inscribed in golden letters in the military chronicle of our state. Carrying out the command’s most responsible assignments, they covered themselves with undying glory and honorably fulfilled the sacred duty of defending the independence of our Motherland. And today, continuing the glorious traditions of their predecessors, the personnel of the 'winged infantry,' whose motto is 'No one but us!', persistently improve combat readiness and professional skill, thereby making a significant contribution to strengthening the combat power of the Armed Forces and ensuring Russia’s military security," said Pavel Chichkanov, chairman of the "Union of Airborne Troops" in Irkutsk.
