Recall that the traffic accident that claimed the lives of two men occurred on July 27. The daughter of Irkutsk deputy Zhanna Eseva got behind the wheel while intoxicated; the amount of alcohol in her blood exceeded the legal limit by 12 times. At a speed of about 160 km/h, Yulia Kiseleva’s Mercedes-Benz crashed into a Toyota Highlander that had stopped at a traffic light, and the Toyota in the oncoming lane crashed into two more cars. The impact was so strong that the people sitting in the car had virtually no chance of surviving.
Zhanna Eseva, the mother of the culprit of the accident, publicly renounced her deputy mandate in connection with the tragedy. She stated that in the current situation she could no longer represent her district in the Irkutsk City Duma, just as she could not leave her daughter without help. The criminal case is under investigation. Yulia is currently in the hospital and says that she practically does not remember how the accident happened.
