On August 12 and 13, Irkutsk will host the 15th international exhibition forum Roads of Russia of the 21st Century, bringing together road agencies, contractors, equipment and materials suppliers, scientists and investors. Participants will discuss industry innovations, road safety, and plans for the countrys road sector.

On August 12 and 13, 2015, the 15th international exhibition-forum “Roads of Russia of the 21st Century” will take place in Irkutsk. The industry exhibition of Rosavtodor will bring together representatives of road agencies and contracting organizations from the regions, suppliers of equipment and materials, experts from the scientific community, investment companies, and legislative authorities at one venue.
The exhibition-forum will present industry innovations, measures to improve road traffic safety, and plans for the comprehensive development of the country’s road sector. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
The event program includes an exhibition of achievements in the road sector and a scientific and practical conference devoted to issues of priority areas of activity in implementing the Federal Target Program "Development of Russia’s Transport System for 2010-2020.
" On Wednesday, August 12, Deputy Head of Rosavtodor Dmitry Pronchatov, together with a representative of the government of the Irkutsk Region, will hold the working opening of the 15th
international exhibition "Roads of Russia of the 21st Century," the press service said.
As part of the forum program, a series of thematic round tables is scheduled for August 12:
- "The use of modern technologies and equipment in road construction work on highways";
- "On the introduction of modern requirements and testing methods for organic binders and road asphalt concrete based on the Superpave methodology";
- "Safety of highway operation".
On August 13, the head of Rosavtodor R.V. Starovoit, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport S.Yu. Ten, and acting First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region N.V. Slobodchikov will open the main events of the exhibition-forum.
Roman Starovoit will speak to journalists with a report on Rosavtodor’s activities for the first half of 2015, and will also talk about the progress of the agency’s key projects.
After the official opening of the exhibition-forum, the plenary session of the conference will take place.
