Over the past weekend, rain hit the southern districts of Irkutsk Oblast hardest. Irkutsk got 47 mm of rain, and the most fell in Baikalsk and Angarsk. Olkhon District was barely affected, and from August 18 Irkutsk is expected to have warm sunny weather and up to 28 degrees with no rain.
Over the past weekend, rains mainly affected the southern districts of the Irkutsk Region. In Irkutsk, 47 mm of precipitation fell, with the August monthly norm being 86 mm. As reported by the Irkutsk Hydrometeorological Service, the largest amount of precipitation fell in Baikalsk - 67 mm and Angarsk – 58 mm in a day.Rain barely affected the Olkhon District – in Khuzhir, 2 mm fell on August 16, and in Elantsy – 1 mm on Saturday. In Kachug, 12 mm fell on August 15, and 10 mm on August 16.
In Shelekhov, 51 mm of precipitation fell over the weekend, in Bokhan – 34 mm, in Cheremkhovo – 33 mm, in Khomutovo – 37.
Note that already on August 18, warm and sunny weather will set in in Irkutsk. Variable cloudiness is expected this week, with no precipitation, and temperatures will fluctuate between +23 and +28 degrees.
