At the intersection of Karl Marx, October Revolution and Frank Kamenetsky streets in Irkutsk, a safety island was installed and the traffic scheme was optimized. Free parking also appeared here, and signs banning stopping and parking were installed to fight chaotic parking. Now the intersection is safer and traffic through it is freer.

A safety island has been installed at the intersection of Karl Marx, Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya, and Frank-Kamenetsky streets. Also in this area, right next to the new safety island, a free parking lot has been set up.
Therefore, traffic police officers recommend that motorists be attentive and not leave vehicles in unauthorized places. This was reported by the press service of the city administration of the regional center.
Work to optimize the traffic scheme has already been completed. In connection with these works, the Irkutsk city administration, on the basis of a public-private partnership, installed a dividing island made of curb stone; a fence has been installed on the island itself, a lawn has been laid out, and signs reading "No stopping" and "No parking" have been installed in the area of this transport hub.
Not long ago, this section had a huge number of chaotically parked vehicles, which impeded visibility within the intersection and reduced the capacity of the adjoining streets. After the work was completed, traffic difficulties were eliminated.
