This morning, a major traffic jam formed on the Glazkovsky Bridge. The culprits of the incident were bus route No. 80k and tram No. 1.
Traffic was paralyzed in the Sverdlovsky district, namely on 2-aya Zheleznodorozhnaya, Botkina, Mayakovskogo, Gogolya, and Chelnokova streets.
As a reminder, by order of the Arbitration Court of the Irkutsk Region, bus route No. 80k has been declared illegal since August 17, 2015. The court’s decision: the route is illegal and will no longer operate. However, the buses continue to run around the city to this day.
Buses No. 80k have been removed from the register of Irkutsk transport routes.
“The carrier has filed an appeal with the Fourth Arbitration Court of Appeal in Chita. It will be considered for at least a month, so the buses are still operating on the route,” said Yulia Gordina, head of the transport department of the urban development committee of the Irkutsk administration.
