A new Ferris wheel may appear in the city. One Krasnoyarsk company proposed installing the ride on Yunost Island or Konny Island. The city hall is choosing the best site. The Irkutsk Ferris wheel was dismantled in 2009 after failing inspection.
Perhaps a “Ferris wheel” may appear in our city. One of the companies from Krasnoyarsk has approached the city administration with a commercial proposal. At present, two sites are being considered for its installation — Yunost Island or Konny Island.This issue was discussed at a meeting at City Hall:
-The relevant committees have been instructed to choose the optimal location from a technical standpoint, - noted acting deputy mayor-chairman of the committee for municipal property management Andrey Melnikov.
So far, there are no details about the attraction. Neither when the project will reach the construction stage, nor how much it will cost.
As a reminder, the Irkutsk Ferris wheel was installed in the Central Park in 1987. In 2009, the attraction failed certification and was dismantled. The 27-meter structure was a favorite attraction for children and adults.
