Another playroom has opened at the Irkutsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital for young patients. It has comfortable furniture, a TV and toys for children of different ages. The project has already created nine such spaces in the hospital.
Little patients recover faster if they receive not only medicine, but also care, attention, and even toys. Another playroom has been opened for children at the Irkutsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.The room is decorated in a child-friendly style, furnished with comfortable furniture, and has a television. There are also toys for all ages. For the youngest patients, these are soft toys; for older children, Wi-Fi.
The opening of the playroom took place as part of a project being implemented with the support of four religious denominations, the Mayor of Irkutsk, and benefactors.
- Today we are giving this project a new impetus. The goal for the future is for such rooms to appear in all departments of the city’s children’s hospitals. After all, in essence, this is another department - a department of kindness, love, and joy. And I sincerely thank the representatives of the denominations for this celebration. This is an example of unity for the common good - for both children and adults, - emphasized Mayor Dmitry Berdnikov, who came to congratulate the young patients.
In total, 9 playrooms have already been opened at the regional hospital as part of the project. In them, the children play happily, and contests, celebrations, and quizzes are also held.
The Mayor emphasized that such projects should become not an exception, but the rule, part of Irkutsk’s life.
He called on everyone who is not indifferent to join such events, including by providing feasible assistance to children’s medical institutions.
According to the mayor’s office press service, one of the playrooms in the clinic has been taken under the patronage of Dmitry Berdnikov’s family.
