In Irkutsk, the Moscow theater Et Cetera led by Alexander Kalyagin begins its tour. From September 10 to 12, the drama theater will stage Shylock, The Comedy of Errors, and Aunt Melkin's Secret. The tour is part of the Big Tours program and will continue until September 23, also covering Ulan Ude and Chita.

On the stage of the Irkutsk Academic Drama Theater named after N.P. Okhlopkov, the touring performances of the Moscow theater “Et Cetera” under the direction of Alexander Alexandrovich Kalyagin will take place. On September 7, the actors and production crew flew to Irkutsk. The tour will last until September 23.
The artistic director of the troupe, Alexander Kalyagin, is a People’s Artist of Russia, a graduate of the Vakhtangov school, who worked at the Moscow Art Theater for many years. The theater was founded in 1993. For several years, “Et Cetera” was “wandering,” performing its productions on various stages in the capital of Russia. In 2005, “Et Cetera” celebrated its housewarming. The new home on Turgenevskaya Square is an architectural structure of astonishing beauty, embodying in many ways Kalyagin’s own ideas.
The tour is organized within the framework of the Russian Ministry of Culture’s “Big Tours” program. Kalyagin’s troupe will perform in three cities in Siberia - Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, and Chita. They are bringing three productions: two by Shakespeare - “Shylock” and “The Comedy of Errors” - and Milne’s “The Secret of Aunt Melkin.”
At the drama theater, residents of Irkutsk and visitors to the city will be able to see:
September 10 – “Shylock” by W. Shakespeare
September 11 – “The Comedy of Errors” by W. Shakespeare
September 12 – “The Secret of Aunt Melkin” by A.-A. Milne
