From September 7 in Irkutsk, bus route 24 will change and become experimental route 74, running on a new circular route through Studgorodok, Lenin Street, HPP Square and the Universitetsky district. 23 buses will run every 4 to 5 minutes from 6.30 to 21.00. For Universitetsky residents, this means an extra way to reach Glazkovsky Bridge, and during the transition buses will run under two numbers.
From September 7, 2015, the route of bus No. 24 in Irkutsk is being changed. It is being entered into the register of city routes under No. 74 as an experimental one, with the service “m/r Pervomaysky (Tower) – Student Town – Lenin St. – HPP Square – m/r Universitetsky – m/r Pervomaysky (Tower)”.This bus, when traveling from the Pervomaysky microdistrict, will also stop in Universitetsky. 23 vehicles will be put on the line with a service interval of 4–5 minutes, and the route operating hours are set from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Now residents of the Universitetsky microdistrict will be able to get toward the Glazkovsky Bridge not only on bus No. 64 “m/r Universitetsky – Rabocheye Ave.”, but also on route No. 74 (former 24). During the transition period, so that Irkutsk residents can get used to it, the buses will run under two numbers.
