In the second Davis Cup match, the Italian won in all three sets

On September 18 at the Baikal Arena court, the second Davis Cup match was held, in which Andrey Rublev lost to Italian Fabio Fognini. The match was tense and spectacular. In the first set, the Russian caught up with his opponent, but still lost in the tiebreak, and then lost the second and third sets. More matches of the tournament will follow on September 19.

On September 18, the second match of the Cup took place on the court of the Baikal Arena. Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev, unfortunately, was unable to defeat Italian athlete Fabio Fognini.
As a reminder, in the first match Teimuraz Gabashvili defeated Simone Bolelli. The Russian tennis player led in all three sets.
As for the second Davis Cup match, from the very beginning Fabio Fognini took the initiative into his own hands. He began scoring points with ease and pulled ahead. In terms of intensity, the first set was fantastic. Andrey caught up with his opponent, but still lost 6:7.
The second set was no less spectacular. The Italian was in the lead again and ultimately won - 2:6. The battle ended in the third set, where Rublev lost 2:6.
On September 19, the next Davis Cup matches will take place. Teimuraz Gabashvili will play Fabio Fognini, and Andrey Rublev will play Simone Bolelli.
