Around the formation of the team of the new governor of Irkutsk Region Sergei Levchenko, the first versions of possible appointments have already appeared. According to political scientist Yuri Pronin, the new lineup may include former Irkutsk mayor Viktor Kondrashov, State Duma deputy Evgeny Rulkov, and former legislative assembly speaker Lyudmila Berlina, while Alexander Bitarov may be offered the post of prime minister. Some ministers from Yeroshenkos team will likely keep their positions, but the fate of some key figures remains uncertain.

Former Irkutsk mayor Viktor Kondrashov and the second secretary of the Irkutsk branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, State Duma deputy Yevgeny Rulkov, will join the team of the new governor, Sergei Levchenko. Kondrashov will end up in the State Duma, while Rulkov will be in the government.
According to political analyst Yuri Pronin, Viktor Kondrashov may become a candidate for the State Duma. Sergei Levchenko will invite Lyudmila Berlina, who stepped down as speaker of the legislative assembly in the spring, to either the post of governor’s representative in the legislative assembly or minister of justice. Sources in the CPRF did not rule out that State Duma deputy Yevgeny Rulkov, who headed Levchenko’s campaign headquarters, will move to the regional government.
Speaking about legislative assembly deputy and chairman of the board of directors of the construction company Novy Gorod, Alexander Bitarov, Pronin suggested that, most likely, he will be offered the post of head of government.
In the political analyst’s opinion, from Yeroshenko’s team, Minister of Social Development Vladimir Rodionov and Minister of Culture Vitaly Baryshnikov may remain. The figure of First Deputy Chairman of the government Viktor Ignatenko, whom “they may not forgive for his silence during the period when the election of the Irkutsk mayor was canceled,” and Finance Minister Natalya Boyarinova are in question.
