Early on October 17, a fatal crash occurred on the dam of the hydroelectric station in Irkutsk. A Toyota Carina overturned. The 24 year old driver died at the scene.
Early this morning, a fatal traffic accident occurred. A report of the crash was received by the duty unit of the separate battalion of the Traffic Police of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Directorate for Irkutsk at around 5 a.m. on October 17.On the hydroelectric dam, a Toyota Carina overturned, driven by a 24-year-old man.
As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Irkutsk Region,
according to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the steering, hit the curb, and caused the car to overturn.
The local resident died at the scene from his injuries before the ambulance arrived.
Police officers continue to investigate the causes of the crash. They urge motorists to strictly follow traffic rules, because only compliance with them will help avoid tragic consequences on the road.
