On October 24, a unified Conscripts Day will be held at Trud Sports Palace, timed to the autumn draft campaign in Irkutsk. The program includes a ceremonial sendoff of recruits to the Russian Armed Forces, expert consultations, DOSAAF presentations, SOBR demonstrations, and displays of military uniforms, equipment, and weapons. Organizers also promise field kitchen and say the goal is military patriotic education of youth and preparing young men for service.
On October 24 from 11:00 to 16:00, the Unified Conscripts’ Day will be held at the Trud Sports Palace.The autumn conscription campaign is currently underway in Irkutsk. As part of this event, a ceremonial send-off of conscripts to the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take place at 13:00.
For the new recruits, consultations will be organized with representatives of: lawyers, the military enlistment offices of the city of Irkutsk and the Irkutsk Region, heads of the military medical commission, and specialists from Military Unit No. 6531 on issues related to recruiting citizens for military service under contract in the internal troops of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, there will be a presentation of the activities of DOSAAF Russia in the Irkutsk Region, demonstration performances by SOBR fighters, and displays of samples of military uniforms, equipment, and weapons. A field kitchen will be operating on this day.
As reported by the youth policy department of the Irkutsk administration, the purpose of the event is military-patriotic education of young people and preparation of boys for service in the army, law enforcement agencies, and educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense.
