In 2015, six new traffic lights began operating in the city, installed at the most accident prone road sections. Their placement was approved by the traffic police, and for two weeks the equipment will work in test mode while specialists adjust the signal phases and transfer the facilities to the city balance.

In 2015, as part of ensuring road safety, six new traffic lights began operating at the following addresses:
ul. R. Lyuksemburg near the “Vecherneye” café;
ul. Vampilova – the exit to the bypass road of the Pervomaysky neighborhood;
ul. Dorozhnaya, near School No. 20;
ul. Sergeeva, the “Melnikovsky Market” public transport stop;
ul. Mayakovskogo, near the “Roshcha” public transport stop;
ul. R. Lyuksemburg, next to the “Pionerskaya” public transport stop.

The locations of the new traffic lights were coordinated with the traffic police – these are sections where the largest number of road traffic accidents occur, including fatal ones.
For 2 weeks, the traffic lights will operate in test mode; during this time, the facilities will be accepted onto the city’s balance sheet, and the traffic phases will be adjusted together with traffic police officers depending on road conditions and the characteristics of traffic flow in these sections.
