In Irkutsk 19 million rubles will be spent on building the ice town and installing the Christmas tree

In Irkutsk, nearly 1.9 million rubles will be spent on installing a 25 meter New Year tree and building an ice town in Kirov Square. The ice composition will include slides, arches, fairy tale figures and miniatures of famous city landmarks, and the town will be designed in the theme of Irkutsk upcoming anniversary. The work must be completed by December 23, and the tree will be connected to electricity no later than December 17.

This year, the installation of the New Year’s tree and the construction of the ice town will cost the Irkutsk budget almost 1.9 million rubles. The municipal autonomous institution "Prazdnik" has announced the relevant electronic auctions.

MAU "Prazdnik" has posted electronic auctions on the Russian government procurement website. Applications will be considered on November 20.
1.1 million rubles will be spent on the construction and maintenance of the ice town. Two entrance arches, a large and a small slide will be installed in Kirov Square.
A decorative fence around the main city tree, a children’s labyrinth, and six pictures in ice frames are also planned. Compositions "Father Frost and the Snow Maiden," "Fairy-Tale Throne," "Money Tree," "Irkutsk-355," and "Nerpa" will be erected there.
Residents of Irkutsk and city guests will see in miniature the "Icebreaker Angara," the "Trubetskoy House," the "Shastin Estate," the "Irkutsk Drama Theater," the "Irkutsk Musical Theater," the "Moscow Gates," the "Babr," and the "Angara Bridge," as well as other landmarks made of ice.
All work on the construction of the ice town, designed in the theme of Irkutsk’s upcoming anniversary, must be completed by December 23.
The installation, maintenance, and dismantling of the tree will cost 775 thousand rubles. The New Year beauty will be installed and connected to the power grid no later than December 17.
As a reminder, on December 26, Father Frost’s residence will open in Kirov Square for the first time. During the holiday season, the wizard will be waiting for children to visit.
