The Ministry for Regulating the Contract System in Procurement of Irkutsk Region announced an auction to select a contractor for the reconstruction of the Baikal Highway from kilometer 12 to 29. The starting contract price is 3.8 billion rubles, and the auction is set for December 7. The Ministry for the Regulation of the Contract System in the Sphere of Procurement of the Irkutsk Region has announced an auction. The authorities will choose another contractor to carry out the reconstruction of the Baikal Highway. This concerns the section of road from kilometer 12 to kilometer 29.This is stated on the public procurement website. The bidding is scheduled for December 7 of this year. The initial contract amount is three billion eight hundred eighteen thousand nine hundred rubles. Of this, 1 billion 149 million 773 thousand 60 rubles must be allocated from the regional budget.
As a reminder, this fall road workers opened a small section of the highway ahead of schedule. The length of the repaired section is 3.9 km of the straight section and more than 5 km — the construction of interchanges: one near Novorazvodnaya, the second at the turn to ISHI. In addition, the roadway has been widened, and to reduce accident rates, a divider has been installed between opposing traffic flows.
