In Irkutsk from December 8 to 14, the epidemic threshold for ARVI was exceeded, the incidence rate was about 83.7 cases per 10 thousand people with a threshold of 77.2. Over 4.6 thousand people fell ill in the city in a week, most of them children, and 164 patients were hospitalized. Three flu cases were also reported.

This is stated in a message from the press service of the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor. The incidence rate per 10,000 population was about 83.7 cases, while the epidemic threshold was about 77.2.
Over the past week, more than 4.6 thousand cases of ARVI were registered in the city, including 3.7 thousand among children, the press release noted. 164 people were hospitalized, including 156 children. During the same period, 3 cases of influenza were registered.
