In Irkutsk Region, road funding for this year will be increased by more than 612 million rubles. Most of the funds will go to maintenance and repair of regional roads, and the rest to advance payments for construction and reconstruction work. Relevant changes to the state program have already been prepared and will be submitted for consideration by deputies of the Legislative Assembly at the next session.
The lion’s share of the funds will be directed toward advance payments for work on the maintenance and repair of roads that are in the state ownership of the Irkutsk Region.As reported by the regional administration, the increase in funding from the regional budget for the current year amounts to more than 612 million. More than 420 million rubles will be allocated by the region for the maintenance and repair of regional roads.
The remaining funds are earmarked for advance payments under state contracts for the construction and reconstruction of regional roads.
As clarified by Svetlana Svirkina, Minister of Construction and Road Management of the Irkutsk Region, the relevant proposals to amend the state program for the development of the road sector for 2014-2020 have already been prepared. They will be submitted for approval to deputies of the Legislative Assembly at the upcoming session.
