In the last month of the year, the Irkutsk region registry office will work without days off and switch to a seven day rolling schedule. Residents will be able to register civil status acts and get archive documents at any convenient time, including Saturday and Sunday. This is to help people finish matters before the leap year 2016 begins.

In the last month of the outgoing year, the Civil Registry Office of the Irkutsk Region will work without days off. It operates on a seven-day schedule with a rotating timetable.
“Until the end of 2015, the civil registry offices of the Irkutsk Region are switching to a rotating work schedule in order to give residents of the Irkutsk Region the opportunity to receive a public service at any time convenient for them, including weekends — Saturday and Sunday,” noted the head of the service, Oleg Vlasenko. “All the more so since next year will be a leap year, and many citizens want to have time to finish their accumulated matters before the start of 2016, including the registration of civil status acts.”
The public service for the state registration of all types of civil status acts and the issuance of documents from the archive will be provided on all days of the week.
