Sergey Levchenko held his first working meeting with Leonid Frolov, who was elected mayor of the Irkutsk District in the early election on December 6. The meeting addressed issues of the municipality’s social and economic development, the formation of the local budget, and the district’s territorial planning, taking into account the development of neighboring Irkutsk.
– In the Irkutsk District, it is necessary in the near future to conduct an inventory of land. We plan to take part in federal programs for the construction of major infrastructure facilities; the city needs space, and the district needs development, so issues of territorial planning must be approached jointly. We need to develop optimal solutions for involving municipalities in the economic development of the Irkutsk Region, – Sergey Levchenko was quoted as saying by the press service of the government of the Baikal region.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor – Chief of Staff of the Governor and Government of the Irkutsk Region Dmitry Chernyshov, Chairman of the Irkutsk District Duma Alexander Meng, and Head of the Governor and Government of the Irkutsk Region’s Department for Regional Policy Vladislav Naumov.
