The Irkutsk District Court has handed down a sentence to a young man who printed counterfeit 1,000-ruble banknotes in his apartment. In total, he made 10 of them, printing them on an ordinary color printer.- After that, he applied an image of the security thread to the printed “money” using a pen with a silver-colored refill, - the Irkutsk District Court said. – The man kept the counterfeits in his apartment, and later sold part of the fake banknotes.
At the court hearing, the man fully admitted his guilt in the crime committed and expressed remorse for what he had done.
The court sentenced him to 2 years of imprisonment, suspended, with a probation period of 1 year. The court verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
