Mass skating on the ice has begun near the Angara icebreaker in the Solnechny microdistrict.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the commission concluded that the rink is ready for mass skating at air temperatures no lower than 25 degrees below zero and no higher than 8 degrees above zero, as well as with no more than 100 people on the ice. The ice thickness averages 35 centimeters, which is acceptable.
Along the perimeter of the facility, as well as at the skate rental point, there is special equipment for assisting a person in the event of falling through the ice — this is a mandatory requirement for opening such a recreation area.
Another rink is being prepared for opening — at the Laguna recreation center in Smolenshchina. Work is currently underway to improve it.
