The pensioner lost all of her money. An 86-year-old woman from Irkutsk let the scammers, who introduced themselves as Pension Fund employees, into her apartment herself. As a result, the fraudsters stole all the savings the trusting woman had at home. Police are currently searching for the two women who robbed the Irkutsk resident.
- Residents should remember that Pension Fund employees never go door to door, - noted the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region. – All issues are resolved only in customer service offices, which operate in all districts of Irkutsk and the Irkutsk Region, or through the “Personal Account of the Insured Person” on the PFR website.
This scam has been used by criminals more than once. Pensioners are systematically becoming victims of scammers, and most often they fall for the fraudsters’ tricks over the phone. At the beginning of December, a pensioner was saved from the hands of telephone scammers by caring store clerks in Irkutsk.
