From February 9 to 14, 2016, Irkutsk will host the Russian billiards championship for the first time, with about 150 of the countrys strongest players. The tournament will form the national team for world championships, and organizers promise top level competition.
From February 9 to 14, 2016, the Russian Billiards Sports Championship will be held in Irkutsk for the first time. About 150 of the strongest players from across the country will take part in it. Based on the results of the championship, a national team will be formed to participate in world championships.The tournament organizer is the Billiards Sports Federation of the Irkutsk Region. The event will be held with the support of regional and city authorities, the mayor’s office press service reported.
Coordinators assure that the Russian Billiards Sports Championship will be held at the highest level.
Earlier, Irkutsk hosted such major sporting events as the Davis Cup tennis tournament, the Russian Bandy Cup final, the Russian-Chinese Youth Games, and others.
