Early in the morning at an impound lot in Irkutsk, a SsangYong Korando Sports burned. The fire started in the cabin and was contained in about 10 minutes. No one was injured, but flammable parts of the car were damaged, and the cause and those responsible are still to be determined. The report also recalls the recent arson of a Mercedes-Benz GL350 on Baikalskaya Street.
In the early morning of December 28, a SsangYong Korando Sports passenger car burned on the grounds of the impound lot of OJSC “Transpark” on Barrikad Street in Irkutsk.The fire started around 6 a.m., and about 10 minutes later it was brought under control. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Nine firefighters from Fire Station No. 3 immediately went to the scene. By the time the rescuers arrived, the car’s interior was burning. As a result of the fire, the combustible parts of the interior were damaged.
The responsible party and the extent of the damage have yet to be determined. At this point, all possibilities are being considered, from arson to careless handling of fire.
As a reminder, last Saturday, December 26, a Mercedes-Benz GL350 burned on Baikalskaya Street. The cause of the vehicle fire was arson.
