Students of Irkutsk School 19 will temporarily study in other buildings, eight buses will take them there, and classes will be held at Schools 55 and 77. Authorities promise to keep classes familiar, provide meals, and not stop children from attending clubs and sports sections. The old unsafe building will be demolished, and a new school will be built in its place, with completion planned for August 2018.

Eight buses will transport students of School No. 19 to their new places of study. This was discussed at a meeting in the city administration. The participants in the discussion included the heads of educational institutions and representatives of parent committees.
The school building, which has been declared unsafe, will be demolished, and a new one will be built in its place. The students have mostly been assigned to Schools No. 55 and 77. The common assembly point is expected to be the area near the former school, and transport will depart from there. The meeting also discussed meal arrangements: in School No. 55, additional staff positions are being introduced — a cook and a kitchen worker, and in School No. 77 another buffet will be equipped. As stated by Tatyana Edelman, chair of the Committee on Social Policy and Culture of the Irkutsk city administration, all children will study together with their classes, and the lessons will be taught by teachers from School No. 19. The schedule will not undergo any significant changes. In addition, transferring students to other schools should not affect their ability to attend clubs and sections.
According to Tatyana Edelman, chair of the Committee on Social Policy and Culture of the Irkutsk city administration, if children attend our art schools, music schools, sports sections, a meeting has been held with the heads of cultural and sports institutions that every request received from a child's parents to move them to another class time will be satisfied without fail and promptly, so as soon as such a request comes from the parents — up to and including a call to the teacher — it will be satisfied. All these issues have now been resolved.
For reference: the building of School No. 19, which has been declared unsafe, will be demolished, and city authorities intend to build a new school in its place. At present, the issue of transferring the land, which is currently on the balance sheet of the Russian Academy of Sciences, from federal to municipal ownership is being resolved. After that, the development of the design and cost documentation will begin. The contractor will be selected in the autumn of 2016. The construction of the new building of School No. 19 is expected to be completed by August 2018.
