The Irkutsk Art Museum named after V.P. Sukachev invites Irkutsk residents to visit Marina Svinina’s photo exhibition “The Edge of Worlds.” The exhibition will run from January 14 to February 7 of this year.
The exhibition is dedicated to the author’s 55th birthday and 40 years of work in photography. Marina Svinina is an original photographic artist for whom the real world is an opportunity to understand the inner essence of things and of her own soul. Her credo is to live in a constant search, creation, and giving of her spiritual labor to the surrounding space. She lives and works in Irkutsk. Since 1994, Marina Svinina has been a member of the Union of Photographic Artists of Russia, and since 1979 she has taken part in exhibitions; to her credit are already more than four dozen solo exhibitions alone.
Marina Vladimirovna works a lot and with enthusiasm—she creates large artistic staged projects, curates children’s city exhibitions, and takes part in international exhibition-seminars “Women Photograph.” The exhibition “The Edge of Worlds” features more than one hundred photographic works, each of which is the result of reflecting on existence and human nature through the creative process.
