The screech of brakes and a child’s cry were heard by passersby in the Pervomaysky neighborhood a second before a little 9-year-old girl was hit by a car. Near building No. 23, around 7 p.m. on January 22, the girl was crossing the road at an unauthorized place. The driver, frightened of responsibility, fled the scene of the accident. Police have declared him wanted.- The child suffered bruises to parts of her body, - noted the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region. – Neither the driver nor the make of the car has been identified yet. Presumably, the car was traveling from the bypass road toward Mamina-Sibiryaka Street. We are now looking for witnesses and eyewitnesses to the accident.
