Residents of Irkutsk will be able to decide for the first time how to spend 20 million rubles from the People s Initiatives project, from road repairs and park improvements to installing playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment. Proposals are accepted until February 9, and funding will be allocated based on a ranking vote on gorod.irk.ru from February 10 to 17.
Residents of Irkutsk will be able to decide for themselves how to allocate 20 million rubles for the improvement of the city, which have been allocated under the “People’s Initiatives” project, the city administration press service reported on January 27.Irkutsk residents can submit their proposals on how to distribute these funds until February 9 of this year. Initiatives are accepted at district administrations or by email at initiative@admirk.ru. Suggestions may include road surface repairs, the construction of a playground, landscaping of an area or square, the installation of outdoor exercise equipment, and much more.
The funds will be allocated based on the results of a ranking vote, which will be organized on the website gorod.irk.ru from February 10 to 17. Also, open discussion platforms for discussing initiatives will be held in all districts.
The final list of “People’s Initiatives” will be approved at an expanded conference of the Public Chamber at the end of winter.
For reference: our city is participating in “People’s Initiatives” for the first time. In total, 300 million rubles have been allocated in the regional budget for this project this year. The project will be implemented by the government of the Angara region together with deputies of the legislative assembly and the administrations of municipalities since 2011.
