Internet scammers deceived an Irkutsk resident while he was buying a snake. In addition to him, six more residents of the region fell victim to the fraudsters’ actions in just one day. All of them lost large sums of money.On February 1, a 30-year-old man contacted the duty station. He reported that internet scammers had fraudulently obtained his money.
On one of the well-known social networks, the Irkutsk resident saw an advertisement for the sale of a python. The exotic animal enthusiast became interested in this information. He called the snake seller and arranged to buy it. The potential buyer was immediately asked to transfer a deposit of 12,000 rubles.
As soon as the money was credited to the reptile owner’s account, the author of the ad immediately deleted his page.
