The daughter of an Irkutsk city council deputy, Yulia Kiseleva, appeared in court again. On February 25, the regional court heard appeals in the fatal crash case that killed two people. She was previously sentenced to 3.5 years in a settlement colony for the 2015 Irkutsk crash, when investigators say she was drunk driving a Mercedes Benz. The court will announce its appeal ruling on March 4.

The daughter of Irkutsk city duma deputy Yulia Kiseleva appeared before the court once again.
On February 25, the Irkutsk Regional Court considered the appeal of the woman responsible for the fatal crash.
Recall that on January 14 of this year, 27-year-old Yulia Kiseleva was sentenced to 3.5 years in a penal colony-settlement.
She was found guilty of committing an offense under Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules committed by a person in a state of intoxication, negligently causing the death of two persons).
The accident occurred in Irkutsk on July 27, 2015. An intoxicated young woman at the intersection of Baikalskaya and Piskunova streets crashed her Mercedes Benz into a Toyota Highlander that was standing at a red light, after which the impact caused it to collide with two more cars.
As a result of the accident, the head of criminal investigation for the Irkutsk police department, Albert Sokolov, and businessman Denis Matveev were killed.
However, all parties to the case were dissatisfied with the verdict of the Oktyabrsky District Court. An appeal was filed by the prosecutor's office, the relatives of the deceased, and the convicted woman's lawyers. By the way, she herself was not present at the hearing. A teleconference was arranged for Kiseleva from the pretrial detention center.
The court will issue its ruling on the appeal on March 4.
