In Priangarye, warming caused water to appear on the reservoir ice surface, making the popular recreation area unsafe. Rescuers warn that going onto the ice is dangerous and remind people how to act if you fall through the ice, do not panic, call for help, and get out without going under. In an emergency call 112 immediately.

As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Angara region, the rise in average daily temperatures has led to changes in the structure of the ice and the appearance of water on its surface, which prevents further use of the public recreation area. Going out onto the reservoir ice is dangerous!
The department once again reminded people how to act if you fall through the ice.
“Do not panic, throw off heavy items, and call loudly for help. Try to avoid going under headfirst, brace yourself on the edge of the ice floe with your arms spread wide, and if there is a strong current, bend your legs. Get onto the ice by crawling up with your chest and alternately pulling your legs out onto the surface. Once out, roll away, then crawl in the direction you came from: after all, the ice there has already been tested for strength,” the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations explained.
In the event of an emergency, call the unified emergency response number — 112.
