In the evening of March 22, an unknown criminal phoned in a bomb threat to one of the most popular shopping and entertainment complexes in the city center called “Fashion Quarter.”
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region, the call from the unknown person came at half past five in the evening, when the shopping center was at its busiest. Emergency services in the city arrived at the scene and evacuated all visitors and employees of “Fashion Quarter.” Notably, the shopping center’s management initially reported a “technical reason” for the evacuation of people from the building.
“Fashion Quarter” is considered a fairly large shopping center, with only its leasable area exceeding 20,000 square meters. The inspection of the entire building took several hours and ended at around 9 p.m. Naturally, no bombs or explosive devices were found. Now the police are looking for the joker who paralyzed the work of the entire shopping center.
