In Irkutsk, a raid checked snow removal from apartment building roofs in the Right Bank district, where resident and pedestrian safety is especially important. Contractors have already started work, and all sites are fenced and marked with warning signs. Cleanup is planned to be finished by February 19. Authorities are also preparing joint raids with the prosecutor's office to identify those who do not comply with orders.
The authorities of Irkutsk conducted an inspection raid to check the clearing of snow from the roofs of multi-story residential buildings in the Pravoberezhny District. The Pravoberezhny District includes the city center, where there is always a lot of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, so timely clearing of snow from roofs is necessary here for the safety of citizens.
Snow from roofs in Irkutsk neighborhoods began to be removed already on Friday.
"As of today, all contracting organizations have started work. A special order has been issued, and a schedule for roof clearing has been signed for each specific address. By February 19, our houses will be cleared of snow," emphasized the general director of the management company "Vostochnaya," Ruslan Vinarsky.
All sites where work is being carried out are fenced off with special red tape and equipped with warning signs. However, not all residents pay attention to the notices. So far there are no problems with the cleanup, but according to housing and utilities specialists, considering last year's practice, it will most likely be necessary to seek help from the prosecutor's office.
Special raids will be conducted daily together with the Prosecutor's Office to identify irresponsible owners and compel them to comply with the authorities' order. If weather conditions are favorable, such raids will begin in a week, the Irkutsk administration press service reports.
