The city administration of the regional center plans to close the House of Services on Uritskogo Street for major repairs, the building of which, as control inspections showed, is in an emergency condition. As the city administration press service reports, citing Deputy Mayor and Chair of the Committee for Municipal Property Management Margarita Li, starting today tenants will begin receiving the relevant notices, and in two months the facility will be completely closed. In total, lease agreements have been concluded with 78 entrepreneurs, and 45 premises are under the management of the city, the owner of the facility.

According to the Irkutsk city administration, more than 20 violations of fire and security safety requirements have been identified in the House of Services. These include the partial absence of a fire alarm system, a malfunction of the evacuation system, and the absence of fire-fighting equipment, as well as narrowed evacuation routes in the facility. An independent expert examination determined that the roof is in an emergency condition, and found defects in the building structure and sewage system. Since the building was constructed more than 40 years ago, the owner has not carried out any repairs throughout the entire period of operation of the facility.
