In Irkutsk, several stages of road reconstruction are being prepared for launch at once. The third stage along the Pokrovsky market is already undergoing state review, and the first stage is planned to begin in May. In addition, several roads and sidewalks in different parts of the city will be repaired this year, with tens of millions of rubles allocated. A separate large amount of work is planned in the private sector, asphalt, gravel, and sidewalks will appear at 77 sites, and they promise to finish by early autumn.
As reported by the mayor’s office press service, the project for the third stage of reconstruction along the “Pokrovsky” market on the section from Rabochego Shtaba Street to Surnova is currently undergoing state expertise and will be ready in the coming days. Work will begin this year.As the chairman of the Committee for Urban Development of the Irkutsk administration, Yevgeny Drokov, said, in May of this year it is planned to begin implementation of the first stage of the reconstruction project for the main road from Starokuzmikhinskaya Street to Akademicheskaya Street. Repairs will also be carried out on roads from the Moscow Trakt to the “Tsentralnaya” stop (Batareynaya), and from Novatorov Street to Shishkina Street (Bezymyanny Lane).
- 45.4 million rubles have been allocated for road repairs using large patches and for sidewalk repairs. The Committee for Urban Development is working to identify priority sections of the road network, and a list of sites is being compiled along with a defect statement. The documentation is at the procurement posting stage, - Yevgeny Drokov said.
88.4 million rubles were allocated for road and sidewalk repairs in the private sector. Asphalt paving, gravel surfacing, and sidewalk construction will be carried out at 77 sites. The list of sites was formed based on requests from deputies. The work will be completed by the beginning of autumn.
