Students of the Eurasian Linguistic Institute of MGUL plan a picket in support of their institution on April 17 at 1 PM near the Alexander III monument. They demand to regain regional university status.

Students from the "foreign languages" department are preparing for a picket in support of their educational institution. They will gather near the monument to Alexander III on April 17 at 1:00 PM and will stand in the square for two hours to draw the authorities' attention to the issue.
- Our goal is to ensure that the linguistic university becomes a regional university again, - the organizers report on social media. - For this, it needs to be removed from the structure of MGUL and included in ISU. Come to the picket with posters, and bring your relatives and friends!
It should be noted that starting this week, more than 700 students from the Eurasian Linguistic Institute of MGUL have continued their studies at new universities. The majority have transferred to ISU. Thirty students have chosen language programs at the branch, fifty have moved to BGU, and another forty are packing their bags for Moscow to the main university.
Teachers from MGUL EALI will likely face layoffs.
