In Priangarie, a fireworks display costing nearly 2 million rubles is planned for the 71st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It will last 8 minutes and include 3063 charges with the inscription "May 9" and the Russian flag. Interestingly, this year's fireworks will be shorter than last year's but will feature bright effects, including shimmering colors.

The authorities of the Irkutsk region will spend nearly 2 million rubles on an 8-minute fireworks display in the shape of the inscription "May 9" and the flag of Russia. The draft contract and the scenario for the fireworks in celebration of the 71st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War have been posted on the government procurement website.
The fireworks will consist of 3063 charges. The inscription "May 9" should appear in the first second and burn in white and red colors for at least 1.5 minutes. The flag of Russia above the inscription "May 9" should appear at the 52nd second.
The aerial fireworks should begin at the 60-70th seconds and last for at least 7 minutes, after which the inscription "May 9" should reappear in the sky using a continuously burning white color and flickering red along the contours of the inscription.
The contract for organizing the fireworks was won by the company "Joyful Celebration," which was the only participant in the auction.
Note: last year, the festive salute for the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War consisted of 2054 charges of large and medium caliber. The cost of the fireworks in 2015 also nearly reached 2 million rubles. However, at that time, the fireworks were supposed to last at least 10 minutes.
According to the government procurement website, in 2014, the cost of the fireworks on May 9 was 1.5 million rubles. About 2,000 charges were used then, and the duration was stated to be at least 12 minutes. Neither in 2014 nor in 2015 did the government of the Irkutsk region plan to use inscriptions with pyrotechnics.
