Dear residents of the Irkutsk region! Dear participants and veterans of the war, workers of the rear!On Victory Day, we bow our heads in memory of the courage and deeds of soldiers and officers, military leaders, and partisans – those who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, whose bravery and heroism will always serve as an example of loyalty to duty and devotion to the Motherland.
All veterans, participants of the war, and workers of the rear are heroes of a generation that bore the burden of the most brutal of wars. This generation achieved the most difficult, yet the greatest Victory.
The bright and memorable day of May 9, 1945, has forever become a day of joy and remembrance for each of us: tens of thousands of residents of the Irkutsk region gave their lives for the sake of Victory, tirelessly working in the rear. Thanks to their self-sacrifice, we live and work peacefully today, raising children and grandchildren, confidently facing each new day.
Dear compatriots! Please accept my most sincere wishes for good health, peace, and prosperity!
Happy Victory Day!
