In Irkutsk in 2016, tree moth treatment will be greatly expanded, work volume will increase, more staff will be hired, and additional equipment will be purchased. For the first time, not only city green spaces but also block areas and yards will be treated. Residents can apply by email for tree treatment in their yard, giving the address, number of trees, and contact details.
As reported by the deputy mayor and chairman of the Committee for Urban Development of the Irkutsk city administration, Evgeny Drokov, in 2016 the scope of work has increased significantly, and a larger number of trees will be treated. Together with management companies, Gorzelenkhoz has purchased additional equipment, increased the number of workers, and prepared lists of green spaces for treatment.They will fight the moth every day from 22:00 to 6:00, weather permitting. This year, for the first time, they will treat intra-block areas and city courtyards, the city mayor’s office press service reports.
